Annual Interior Design Continuing Education Review

We have wrapped up some great projects this year, including the Leo Horton Renovation and the Spring Hill Living Room Redesign! When I think of all we have been able to accomplish, I tend to reflect on all it has taken to get to this point. For Registered Interior Designers in Texas, like myself, it means a long path through education, experience and examination, continued with on-going learning opportunities each year. I wrote extensively about what’s involved in a past post titled “Interior Design Continuing Education: What Clients & New Designers Need To Know”.

Our focus always shifts at the end of the year, but not just to reflecting and tying up loose ends on projects and planning for the year to come, but also to wrapping and reporting up all of the required Interior Design continuing eduction for the year. It takes time and effort to meet state and professional organization requirements and maintain those records year-to-year. I am happy to have the opportunity for enhancing our industry knowledge and sharing that value with our clients!

Here is my continuing education line up for 2020:

  1. “Benefits and Applications of Photocatalytic Ceramic Tile and Exterior Cladding Panels for Architecture” (webinar by Agrob Buchtal)

  2. “Challenges and Solution for Today’s Ceramic Tile and Stone installations” (webinar by Schluter Systems)

Looking for more resources?

If you are a design professional looking for more credits, there are but a few more days to complete them in the 2020 calendar year. The Texas Board of Architectural Examiners has listed many online resources for finding CE Providers HERE. These are helpful to consider as the events surrounding the Coronavirus pandemic has prevented many of us from attending conferences and classes in-person.

To next year!

I have found all of my continuing education program hours for the year… that’s something to celebrate! Cheers to ending 2020 on a note of accomplishment and here’s to 2021, whatever it may bring!
